Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE HASTMAN It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Elsie Hastman on the morning of February 8, 2002 at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, into the presence of her Lord and Saviour. Elsie was born on April 26, 1913 to August and Eva Dreger in Golden Bay. She was the last remaining member of the Dreger family which consisted of eight brothers and three sisters. She will be sadly missed, fondly remembered and loved forever by her sons, Gordon of Winnipeg, Ken (Julie) of Beausejour and Gerald of Regina, SK; her daughters, Gladys (Douglas) Weselak of Chilliwack, BC, and Brenda (Glen) Newman of Armstrong, BC; as well as 11 grandchildren Glen, Terry (Tanis), Linda, Valerie (Wade), Cindy (Mark), Lisa, (Bill), Mark, Tim, Kathy (Teddy), Monica (Neil) and Cody (Rosanne) and six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren as well as two sisters-in-law, Londa and Charlotte Dreger. She was predeceased by her husband Otto; daughter Marlene; and daughter-in-law Beatrice. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14 at the Sobering Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Arthur Kliever officiating. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., also at the chapel. Interment will follow at the Beausejour cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends and family so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Beausejour Hospital or East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB, ROE OCO. Upright and just to all her ways, Loyal and true through all her days, Silently suffered, patiently bore, God took her home to suffer no more.
